Antony Eden

Associate Director

As both a director and actor, Antony’s passion has always been regional theatre, touring nationally and internationally. His passion for theatre was ignited by watching The Woman In Black as a 14 year old and he immediately sought permission from Robin Herford and PW Productions to put it on at school, which he believes (or at least claims) was the first amateur production of the play. Subsequently Antony has acted in The Woman In Black over 1000 times and has worked as an actor in the West End and theatres up and down the country. In 2023 he won the UK Theatre award for Best Supporting Performance in a Musical or a Play for his part in Alan Ayckbourn’s Family Album at the SJT.

As director, his credits include: We’ll Meet Again (Drift Theatre, New Forest); Killing Time (Park Theatre/59E59 theatre, New York); The Gathered Leaves (Park Theatre); Effies Burning (Soho Theatre); Sweeney Todd, Kiss of The Spiderwoman (C venues, Edinburgh Fringe); Sweet Charity (Bloomsbury Theatre); The Vice, State of Affairs (The Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks).

As Associate Director: Vanity Fair, Trumpets and Raspberries (Royal Lyceum, Edinburgh, directed by Tony Cowney).
